One killed as RTC bus hits scooter
A 15-year-old girl died on the spot while her cousin and maternal uncle sustained serious injuries in a road mishap which occurred here at Kodmur on Saturday.
Kurnool: A 15-year-old girl died on the spot while her cousin and maternal uncle sustained serious injuries in a road mishap which occurred here at Kodmur on Saturday.
According to the SI of Kodmur, D Mahesh Kumar, Keerthi (15) accompanied her cousin sister Surekha as pillion riders when their maternal uncle Chandraiah was driving a two wheeler. The trio was heading towards Yemmignoor from Kodmur when the accident took place. A speeding RTC bus heading towards Kodmur hit them at MRO’s office.
Keerthi died on the spot and others sustained grievous injuries. Surekha and Chandraiah were rushed to Kurnool General Hospital for treatment, the SI said. Case has been registered against the driver of the bus, who is at large following the accident.
