Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the government would hold Nava Nirmana Deeksha from June 2, which is the appointed day of the State bifurcation. Speaking to press persons, the Chief Minister said that the State was in need of commitment from all sections to develop it after division.

He alleged that the Congress was responsible for the ongoing crisis in the State after the bifurcation. Alleging that the Congress had thrown the State onto streets, he felt the need to develop the State with commitment and dedication. He said that the Congress had not considered the interests of the State, which was left without capital city and with a huge revenue deficit.

He ridiculed the Congress leaders’ act of tabling a private member bill in the Parliament seeking special category status to the State. He said that the Congress leaders were shedding crocodile tears for the people after throwing them onto the roads.

“They are trying to draw the attention of the people by proposing a private member bill. But, what did they do when the State was being bifurcated or when the Bifurcation Bill was being tabled? They closed the doors and passed the bill,” he said and held the Congress party responsible for all the problems that the State is facing now.

The Chief Minister said that he was working hard to develop the State. “I am facing several problems that no Chief Minister in the country is facing. It is because of the irresponsible attitude of the Congress,” he lamented.
