By the end of this year water would be diverted to Chittoor from Handri-Neeva to Kuppam sub-channel, she said.
Participating in Navanirmana Deesksha near PCR High School she said that water levels in the district have been improved considerably due to preserving rain waters in a planned and systematic manner and 1.50 lakh rain water harvesstign pits were constructed in the district under Panta Sanjeevani programme.
Chittoor MLA DA Sathya Prabha said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is striving for all-round development of the State though he is facing hurdles after bifurcation of the State.
She felt that the district TDP has done remarkable job for making Mahanadu a grand success.
She regretted that Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy was making false allegations against the Chief Minister. Jaganmohan Reddy has no right continue as the Opposition leader.
The TDP activists should condemn the anti- people activities of the Opposition leader, she added. Chittoor Mayor Subramanyam, TDP leaders Rajasimhulu, Rajeswari Surendra Kumar Additional Joint Collector Venkatasubba Reddy, Chittoor RDO Kodanda Rami Reddy and others were present.
