Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, he wondered how could a senior politician, who had served as an MLA for four times and also as a minister, seek withdrawal of criminal cases after the court had sent the accused to remand. 

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa ruled out talks with Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham, in wake of latter’s indefinite fast beginning from Thursday. Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, he wondered how could a senior politician, who had served as an MLA for four times and also as a minister, seek withdrawal of criminal cases after the court had sent the accused to remand.

He was referring to the accused in Tuni violence. When asked about the law and order problem that may arise due to indefinite fast by Mudragada, he reiterated that it was the duty of the government to ensure peace prevailed in all 13 districts in the State.

“We will not allow any unlawful activities by individuals or groups and remain as mute spectators,” he warned, and alleged that Mudragada was taking up fast for his personal gains. Meanwhile, the East Godavari police are bracing up for any eventuality if situation turns volatile due to the fast.

A review meet was organised at district police office on Wednesday in which all the sub division police officers participated. District SP M Ravi Parkash reviewed the security arrangements with senior police officers.

In similar development, Home Minister Chinarajappa is believed to have taken stock of law and order situation with Eluru Range DIG P V S Ramakrishna on Wednesday at Timmapuram guest house in Kakinada rural.
