Speaking on the occasion, Sivaprasad said that the Chief Minister had waived Rs 24,000 crore loans of farmers despite funds shortage due to unscientific method adopted by UPA government in bifurcation of united AP. 

Chittoor: The TDP leader and Chittoor MP Dr N Sivaprasad said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed to welfare of farmers. He praised the Chief Minister as friend of farmers. The TDP MP participated in second day of Yeruvaka programme along with TDP leaders here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sivaprasad said that the Chief Minister had waived Rs 24,000 crore loans of farmers despite funds shortage due to unscientific method adopted by UPA government in bifurcation of united AP.

The TDP leader stated that the government had cleared Rs 7,400 crore farm loans and the rest of the amount will be cleared very shortly. He mentioned that the TDP government has introduced various welfare schemes for the benefit of farmers.

He slammed the CPI for levelling baseless allegations against the Chief Minister to gain political mileage. Targeting the opposition party, the MP said that the YSRCP MLAs are keen to join TDP as they are fed up with the working style of their party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

He condemned the accusations of YSRCP over luring its MLAs by TDP. Sivaprasad said that the YSRCP MLAs have joined TDP to ensure development in their Assembly constituencies.

ZP Chairperson Girvani said that one of the resolutions of TDP Mahanadu was to develop farming sector in the next two years. She exuded confidence of irrigation projects like Handri-Neeva, Galeru Nagari and Polavaram will be completed in the TDP rule itself. She stated that the Chief Minister believes in women empowerment.

Chittoor MLA Satyaprabha advised the CPI leaders to develop positive approach towards the TDP government. TDP district president G Srinivasulu exuded confidence of Chief Minister getting special category status to truncated State. The TDP leaders Dorababu, Rajeswari, Mohan, Chandra Prakash and others were present.
