Sunitha distributes Ramzan Tohfa kits
Participating in the distribution of Ramzan Tohfa kits to the white ration card holders of the Muslim community at the Shadi Mahal here on Friday, Sunitha said that the Chief Minister is a well-wisher of all minority communities and is committed to the uplifting of the Muslim community in particular as large number of Muslims are living below the poverty line.
Penukonda (Anantapur): Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha has stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is the best bet for the development and welfare of Muslims in the State.
Participating in the distribution of Ramzan Tohfa kits to the white ration card holders of the Muslim community at the Shadi Mahal here on Friday, Sunitha said that the Chief Minister is a well-wisher of all minority communities and is committed to the uplifting of the Muslim community in particular as large number of Muslims are living below the poverty line.
She said that Chandrababu Naidu had given special festival kits to Christian, Muslim and even Hindu community
members during festivals.
District Collector Kona Sasidhar reiterated the State government's resolve to uplift the poor in the Muslim community and Ramzan Tohfa was one such effort to help the weak among the community.
Under the multi-sector development scheme, Rs 6.7 crore were being spent for building pre-metric hostels for the students at Kadiri and Guntakal towns. He said that a spacious hostel is also under construction in a sprawling 6 acres of land for post-metric students. ZP Chairman Chaman Saab and Penukonda MLA Parthasarathy also spoke.
