Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham who recently underwent an indefinite hunger strike demanding the release of the people arrested in connection with the Tuni violence criticized Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not coming forward to resolve the issue of Kapu reservations.

Stating that Chandrababu is trying to avoid speaking to him on the ongoing burning issues, Mudragada further said that senior TDP leaders had requested him not to initiate a CBI inquiry into Tuni violence.

The Kapu leader held Chandrababu responsible for Tuni violence and said that the police filed illegal cases against some Kapus and that the Chief Minister was the one who initiated the action so as to put Kapus on the defensive.

He also mentioned that the agitation of Kapus for reservations would not have any effect on the interests of BCs. Opining optimism about Manujantha Commission, Mudragada said they have support from BCs and Dalits clarifying that their agitation will continue till the goal is reached.
