Governor offers prayers at Durga temple
Governor ESL Narasimhan visited Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy temple atop Indrakeeladri here on Thursday and offered prayers. Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and In-charge District Collector Gandham Chandrudu received the Governor at the main entrance of the temple.

Durga Temple Executive Officer SS Chandrasekhar Azad and priests welcomed the Governor with traditional Purnakumbham. Agriculture Minister Prathipathi Pulla Rao accompanied the Governor during his visit to the temple.
Later, the Governor was taken into the sanctum sanctorum of the Durga temple where he offered special prayers to the Goddess. After darshan, the priests blessed him. Temple Executive Officer gave prasadam to the Governor.
Chandrudu briefed him about various development works taken up by the Devasthanam for Krishna Pushkarams. Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Sub Collector G Srujana and other officials were also present.
