Governor E S L Narasimhan who visited the interim Secretariat at Velagapudi on Thursday along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not delve into the controversial issues and instead tried to strike a chord of sentiment saying that he was willing to sit in the new Secretariat and work from there if some place was provided to him.

Praising the Chief Minister for the hard work hard he was putting in for the development of the new state, the Governor said there were some small problems between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana but they could be resolved through talks.

When asked about the division of High Court, Narsimhan said that he would soon convene a meeting of both the CMs and all contentious issues would be addressed. He said Chandrababu Naidu had already expressed his willingness for a dialogue with the Telangana Chief Minster K Chandrasekhar Rao to resolve the issues.

He said he was doing his best to ensure that AP gets good cooperation from the Centre. Lauding the efforts of the Chief Minister, he exuded confidence that Vegalapudi and the adjoining areas would be soon developed into a major city.

Chandrababu Naidu informed the Governor that the General Administration Department and Chief Minister’s blocks would be ready soon. He also briefed him about the efforts being made for the smooth conduct of Krishna Pushakaralu.

Minister for Agriculture Prathipati Pulla Rao, Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana and MLA Sravan Kumar were also present.
