Visakhapatnam: The two-day international conference on ‘Emergent strategies for impurity profiling’, organised by Raghu College of Pharamacy at Dakamarri in Bhimili mandal, concluded on Sunday.

President of Indian Pharmaceutical Society (IPA) Rao V S V Vadlamudi, speaking at the valedictory function, explained the students on the scope of pharmacy and how to face the competitive world. He also underscored the need for more research in the pharmaceutical sector. The youth must take the lead for a bright future, he added.

Prof Teresa Cecchi from Italy delivered a lecture on ‘extended thermo dynamic approach to ion pair chromotigraphy with emergent ion pair reagents’. Andhra University Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao explained the importance of pharmacists for building a better healthy society.

Chairman, ISAS-Hyderabad Chapter R Nageswara Rao and Dev Kant Shandilya also spoke.

The technical sessions helped the participants to learn about manufacturing of pure, safe and quality drugs in the seminar, which was attended by over 500 delegates from various States.

College Principal Jagadeesh Panda presided over.
