Special buses for women from today
The APSRTC Guntur region to operate special buses for girl students and women from July 18 from Guntur to Chilakaluripet and from Chilakaluripet to Guntur. Similarly, it will operate a ladies special from Guntur to Narasaraopet and Narasaraopet to Guntur.
Amaravati: The APSRTC Guntur region to operate special buses for girl students and women from July 18 from Guntur to Chilakaluripet and from Chilakaluripet to Guntur. Similarly, it will operate a ladies special from Guntur to Narasaraopet and Narasaraopet to Guntur.
The APSRTC Guntur region is operating four special buses to Chilakaluripet and two special buses to Narasaraopet town on pilot basis for girl students and women. If response is good, it will operate some more buses in the same route and other routes as well.
APSRTC Guntur regional manager S Sri Hari said, “For the convenience of girl students and women we are operating special buses because engineering colleges are more on NH-5 from Guntur city to Chilakaluripet town. Similarly, from Guntur to Narasaraopet route. The special buses are useful for girls students studying engineering, managements courses. Women and girl students will feel safe now.”
He urged the women employees and girl students avail the facility and co-operate for the development of RTC and said bus timings were already displayed in the bus stand.
