In order to prevent deaths caused by cardiac arrests and serious heart ailments, the Practicing Interventional Cardiologists from 13 districts of the State are coming together to form a core group and will contribute towards treatment of acute heart attacks in the State. 

Vijayawada: In order to prevent deaths caused by cardiac arrests and serious heart ailments, the Practicing Interventional Cardiologists from 13 districts of the State are coming together to form a core group and will contribute towards treatment of acute heart attacks in the State.

The cardiologists are suggesting that the first one hour is very crucial to save the life of a person hit by acute cardiac stroke. The core group of doctors will campaign in the State from July 25 to 31 to create awareness among the people on the precautionary measures to be taken to check cardiac arrests and treatment to be given to save their lives.

The core doctors will collect data from the cardiac patents and will submit to the National PCI Registry, which maintains the data from all India for study and research. Reputed cardiologists from the State began preparations to form vast network covering all districts in the State to give treatment to patients as early as possible through the local physicians available in the towns and cities.

Coordinator of the Trans-Catheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics-India (TCT) Dr P Ramesh said here on Thursday the TCT has given a call to “attack the heart attack” a vigorous campaign all over India to educate people about the symptoms of cardiac arrests and measures to be taken to save the lives of the persons hit by cardiac stroke.
