Create awareness on RTI: Central Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar

Kakinada: Central Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar Acharyulu called for creating more awareness on RTI act. He said that everyone has a right to question.
Addressing a seminar on Women Empowerment and RTI Act organised by Samachara Hakkula Aikya Vedika at JNTU here on Saturday, the CIC felt that schools and colleges were the places to propagate RTI Act. “The educational institutions should start RTI clubs to create an interest among students,” he advised.

G Aruna, a research scholar and woman activist said that right from the days of Ramayana and Mahabharata, women never received the support. She quoted various incidents from the epics to substantiate the point.
East Godavari DPRO M Francis said that economic empowerment was the need of the hour.JNTU-K rector B Prabhakara Rao, university college principal Ramachandra Raju, founder president of Jana Chaitanya Vedika Brahma Reddy also spoke.
