Range of leisure activities to enthral Pushkar pilgrims
To provide entertainment activities for devotees who are expected to throng the city for Pushkaralu, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the authorities concerned of the Tourism Department to increase the number of leisure activities on offer.

A blueprint for the same would be available after AP Tourism Development Corporation’s scheduled meeting with Chief Minister on Wednesday. Earlier, when vice-chairman of APTDC K S Reddy visited the city, he hinted at the possibility of setting up Shilparamam on the premises of Bhavani Island.
Proposals to increase water sports and bring in special packages to enthral visitors are likely to be approved. There is also an amphitheatre that is ready to use at the sprawling island. He hinted at the ropeway project from Bhavani Island to Berm Park for which tenders have been called, reportedly.
However, things did not materialise since. A private player who has ventured out with some of the rare water rides and activities at Bhavani Island has already won acceptance from cross sections of the society.
His water rides’ special packages are introduced in the State for the first time in River Krishna. Along with them, the APTDC boats and cruises are being decked up to cater to the occasion.
