Collector grants permission for 80 fish tanks
The Collector granted permission for 80 new fish tanks in the district at a meeting at the Collector’s camp office here on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: The Collector granted permission for 80 new fish tanks in the district at a meeting at the Collector’s camp office here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the officials should utilise opportunities for promoting aqua culture in the district. He suggested that authorities concerned should clear applications for fresh water fish tanks.
He also said that he was giving permissions to dig new fish tanks in an extent of 671 acres.
Furthermore, he suggested to the joint director of fisheries department to furnish details of expert swimmers to Pushkaralu Cell.
Details should be included with Aadhaar number, phone number and permanent address and the swimmers should be provided special dress code, including life saving jackets.
Water would be supplied to Padmavathi Ghat and Krishnventi Ghat through a special channel and the expert swimmers were needed at both the ghats, he said.
Fisheries department joint director P Koteswara Rao and officials were present.
