Damaged tree a cause for concern

Srikakulam: A pest-ridden tree was posing a threat to the lives of employees of Irrigation department office complex here. The Irrigation department executive and deputy executive engineers and Vamsadhara circle offices are situated in the complex. Adjacent to the offices, a parking lot is situated where the tree is causing fear among office staff and visitors.

Trunk of the tree was completely damaged and big holes were formed in it. The cavity in the trunk has become a cause for concern as tree may fall at any time if heavy rains lash coupled with gales .

Vasmsadhara circle superintendent engineer Bhojaraju Appala Naidu and irrigation executive engineer Bora Ravindra witnessing the damaged tree, but no action was taken till Friday.
