Vijayawada/Amaravati: Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation Limited chairman Ch Ramanujaya said on Wednesday that the corporation is implementing a scheme on career opportunities in banking and finance with 100 per cent scholarship for the students of Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontari community in the State.

He said the students can join important banking and finance courses with the support of Kapu Corporation, which is working in association with TimesPro, a well-known organisation on career opportunities. He said that the prime objective of Kapu Corporation is the skill development of Kapu youth in the State.

Talking to newsmen, Ramanujaya said that TimesPro is a centre for learning on banking and commerce and the centres are located in 21 places across India. Till now 4,695 students were offered jobs in various leading banking and financial institutions in India, he added.

He further said their members of faculty are highly-learned and added that the curriculum is designed according to the present banking, financial and corporate sectors.

He also said that courses like PGDBM, securities, modern banking, customer relations are offered at the institute and added that the courses are open for students below 26 years of age, scoring more than 50 per cent marks in 10th and Intermediate.

He informed that the fee structure ranges between Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 4 lakh, depending on the course. TimesPro president Anish Sri Krishna, CFO Arun Kabra and others were present on the occasion.

Addressing a meeting in Guntur Ramanujaya said that the corporation extended financial assistance of Rs16 crore to 1331 families during 2015-16 financial year. He said that the corporation would try to develop Kapu, Balija and Vontari castes.
