Visakhapatnam: The management of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the holding company of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and recognised union-Visakha Steel Employees Congress signed an agreement on new incentives in the presence of regional labour commissioner (central) S K Misra, in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

The tenets of the agreement include enhancement of stitching charges for work dress for non-executive employees to Rs 680 per annum, extending monetary benefits under the Employees Family Benefit Scheme to the non-executive trainees, introduction of meal card for non-executives, providing suitable plastic folder to all non-executive employees for filing pay slips.

Dr G B S Prasad, Director (Personnel), RINL informed that the RINL management has always committed to the welfare of its employees even now when company’s financial position was critical. He urged union members to collectively strive for the progress of the company.

K V Ramana Rao, Executive Director (Works) Debasish Ray, Executive Director (Personnel and Industrial Relations), J Srinivasa Rao, General Manager (Finance and Accounts) and other senior executives were the signatories on behalf of management.

Mantri Rajasekhar, General Secretary and G Venkat Rao, president of Visakha Steel Employees Congress were the signatories on behalf of the recognised union.
