Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently camping in Anantapur handling dry-spell mitigation, is likely to fly to the national capital on Thursday. According to highly placed sources, the Chief Minister will proceed to Bangalore in the morning and go to Delhi by a special flight.

As the Centre is readying a special package to the state to silence the critics of both the TDP and the BJP, the Chief Minister is planning to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley before finalizing the package.

The reports from the state are being readied by senior IAS officer P V Ramesh, which are also expected to reach the national capital by Thursday. Interestingly, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, who is closely associated with the state affairs mostly from the time of bifurcation, had prevailed upon Prime Minister Modi and BJP president Amit Shah to give a package to the State.

He had successfully conveyed the feelings of the people, particularly after Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, a friend of TDP and BJP combine, raised his voice. Though late, the voice of Jana Sena chief will certainly help in building a negative image on the party which could be avoided. The Chief Minister is likely to give his views on the public demand and final touches to the package proposal of the Central government.
