Fake agencies are exploiting young women, from economically weaker sections. Members of Sugali tribal hamlets are often falling prey to the Gulf job racket. Pimps, who masquerade as agents are trafficking of young girls and women under the pretext of jobs in Gulf in Kadiri -Rayachoti- Karnataka border areas.

Vulnerable women living in stark poverty are easy targets. They are promised of jobs as domestic maids with wages up to Rs 10,000 per month. However, after landing in the Gulf countries, their passports are confiscated and are either sent to red light havens or used by shaiks as sex slaves. Sources said that the of late the number of young girls going to Gulf as domestic maids was on the rise.

Women from the region, who went for domestic work to Kuwait, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, revealed that they were forced to become sex slaves. Apart from Kadiri -Rayachoti- Karnataka region, the fake agents are hunting from innocent men from Kadapa-Madanapalle-Chittoor-Benguluru region.
