Eluru: Narayana College students performed a flash mob on the occasion of International Peace Day at Fire Station Centre on Wednesday.

The students rallied from the college to the fire station centre with placards displaying the importance of peace. Later they performed a flash mob on the theme of “humanity – good approach”.

West Godavari Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan while participating as the chief guest released pigeons as a mark of peace. He called upon people to strive hard for world peace. Paying tributes to the martyrs of Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir, where 16 Army personnel were killed in Terror attack, the SP said it is really sad and added that everyone should pay tributes to those personnel who lost their lives. He called on the youth and people to observe two minutes of silence to pay tributes to the martyrs.

The students performed the flash mob at the centre over 45 minutes stressing on the need of peace. College Deputy General Manager MVS Brahmaji, Assistant General Manager Venugopal Principal D Suneel Kumar, K Nageswara Rao and others addressed the gathering on the occasion.
