Model Police Station soon in Guntur

Amaravati: Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao on Tuesday instructed police officials to strengthen police system to meet needs of the people in the State capital.

He visited some police stations and Police Parade Grounds in Guntur city and received guard of honour from the police. Speaking to the police officials, he agreed to construct a Model Police Station in Guntur city with modern facilities. He instructed to appoint well educated police personnel in the model police station and they would be trained on how to deal with complainants. He said if educated were not posted in the model police station, the complainants would have to face lot of problems.

He said as soon as FIR is registered, complainants would be given a copy of FIR also. He instructed the officials to post the policemen who were interested to work in the Model Police Station for better performance.

He stressed on need to cooperate with the complainants. Earlier, he inspected some police stations in Guntur city.

South Coastal Zone Guntur range IGP N Sanjay, Guntur Urban SP Sarva Sresta Tripathi, Guntur Rural SP Narayan were among those participated.
