Rajamahendravaram: Director, APGENCO (Hydel), Ch Nageswara Rao and Advisor, APGENCO, Adiseshu inspected the ongoing works at 960 MW power project (Polavaram power project) at Angaluru village in Devipatnam on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ch Nageswara Rao said that the Polavaram power project will be the largest largest hydel power project in the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. He said that the State government is committed to complete this prestigious project in record time. Adiseshu said that only 3,800 cubic metres of earth work is being done at present and stressed on the need for 30,000 cubic metres of earth works per day to meet the deadline of the project.

He directed for more use of machinery to expedite works. Executive Engineer, APGENCO, Kolagani VVS Murthy explained the progress of works through drawings. Chief engineer (Civil), K Ratna Bai, Superintendent Engineer, K Koteswara Rao, APGENCO engineers and Transstroy project manager Mallikharjuna Rao were present on the occasion.
