e-office live at 86 govt offices in EG
With technology getting updated, the e-office has been onboard in all the 86 government offices in East Godavari in all the 64 mandals including the four under Chintur revenue division.
Kakinada: With technology getting updated, the e-office has been onboard in all the 86 government offices in East Godavari in all the 64 mandals including the four under Chintur revenue division.
The district stands first in the second-phase implementation of e-office at State-level among the 11 districts in which the programme was taken up in the last five months. The programme under IT Electronics and Communications completed under the ably guidance of National Informatics Centre, East Godavari unit.
It may be mentioned here that both Krishna and West Godavari completed the process in the first phase about one year ago.
Under this programme revenue, Panchayat Raj, Public health, civil supplies department, civil supplies corporation, Treasury and Accounts and other departments numbering 86 have been utilising the services since the last four months.
The team from IT Electronics and Communications, Hyderabad, Ch Dinesh, T Anil, A Phani and Srinivas under the guidance of NIC District Informatics Officer (DIO) Syed Usman, assistant informatics officer (AIO) Ch V V S Subba Rao completed the digitalisation of 15,000 files and kept onboard under e-office system in the district.
AIO, Subba Rao said that the team will attend for any technical needs in the everyday onboard services of various departments in addition to provision of training to selected employees on the maintenance from time to time, he said.
When contacted, Kakinada RDO and sub-divisional magistrate B R Ambedkar said that the e-office service caters to 80 per cent of their needs. As the system permits digitalisation up to 20 MB capacity, we are depending on files for rest of our needs, the RDO clarified.
