Visakhapatnam: The Special Enquiry Committee set up by the State government will be coming to Andhra University on November 8 to
probe into the allegations levelled against former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University Prof G S N Raju during his term with regard to the
appointments and research admissions.

It may be recalled that the then Vice-Chancellor Prof Raju was hailed by the State government many a time for his initiative in
developing the university, but soon after completion of his term as Vice-Chancellor on February 4 this year, he faced many allegations.

Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao on Saturday said that the three-man committee was set up as per the GO No. 204 and it will present
at the Andhra University Administrative Block from 10.30 am onwards. He informed those interested to submit representations, or to
provide information relating to allegations could present before the committee, or directly appear before the panel.

The registrar also informed that former Minister of Agriculture Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao will deliver Dr N G Ranga Memorial
Endowment Lecture on ‘The role of N G Ranga in the development of agriculture and welfare of rural people of India’ at the Andhra
University Platinum Jubilee guest house on November 8 at 10 am.

Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao will preside over. He asked the researchers and students to attend the programme.

Later, the registrar handed over the orders to Prof Ch Bharathi appointing her as the Head of the Department of Zoology, Andhra
