12 lakh worth gold; silver ornaments seized
Police arrested a person, who was involved in burglaries, and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh on Thursday.
Vizianagaram: Police arrested a person, who was involved in burglaries, and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police L K V Ranga Rao said here on Thursday that they arrested M Prasad who was involved thefts and chain snatchings.
The accused has been selling the stolen ornaments to Ramanamma of Vizianagaram at a low price.
The police arrested the both while selling the booty. Police recovered 300 grams of gold and three kgs of silver ornaments from their possession. CCS DSP K Chakravarthi, inspector Sobhan Bbu and others played a key role in arresting the accused.
Police registered a case and sent them to remand.
