Srisailam Project: In a shocking incident, a mother throttled her 18-day-old baby girl to death in Sundipenta on Tuesday. According to the Circle Inspector Vijaya Krishna, Lakshmi Shravani gave birth to second child 18 days ago while she has a boy of 3 years old. Both the children were suffering from Pneumonia.
She killed the infant and threw her into a sintex tank as she was unable to meet medical expenses. Later, she lodged a complaint with the police that her infant was missing. On interrogation, she confessed to the crime. The infant’s body was sent to hospital for post-mortem. The police registered a case and took her into custody.
