“Through installing solar panels on house tops, we can utilize solar energy for residential needs and also as energy for running cars for which the storage technology will be provided by Tesla,” he said.
“While establishing solar storage technology, we will provide energy to agriculture pumpsets in the first stage,” he announced. “In the second stage, we will focus on solar energy generation and its storage which will change the entire power scenario in the country,” Naidu said.
His government will design village-level power grids, which is an innovative idea and which will be a revolution in the power sector, he claimed. “AP will be developed as solar energy generation hub, which will be helpful in protecting the environment.
“My aim is to reduce the power charges in the future, which will become reality if we generate surplus solar energy. I have focused mainly on energy, agriculture, education and medical services during my US tour,” said Naidu.
The government has come to an understanding with Iowa University, one of the best universities in the world, for establishing Mega Seed Park in AP, he said. Taking the help of Netherlands University too, the government will launch innovative experiments in the agriculture sector in the state, he said.
Referring to the USIBC Transformative Chief Minister Award, he said he had received the award for getting brand image to the state. Recalling his visit to Google X, Naidu said the company has come forward to take AP as its pilot project for doing experiments, Naidu claimed.
Adding further, he said that Franklin Templeton, an expert company in Financial Technology, evinced keen interest in developing Visakhapatnam as Financial City. Nutanix came forward to support AP in cloud computing software technology, Naidu said.
