Vanamamalai seer all praise for Brahmin Corporation

Visakhapatnam: Peethadhipathi of Vanamamalai Mutt Thothadri Madhurakavi Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami lauded the the lcoal Vizag Brahmin Welfare Society and the Andhra Pradesh Brahmana Welfare Corporation for striving for the welfare of the poor Brahmins.

Speaking at a programme-Vidya Vikasam- organised by the local Vizag Brahmin Welfare Society to provide financial help to the poor and merit students of the community here on Sunday, the seer complimented the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation Chairman Krishna Rao for working for the uplift of the poor community .

Replying to the seer, Krishna Rao disclosed that the corporation has been striving for providing education to the poor children. He further stated that Rs 200 crore was earmarked for the corporation. Hence, it became very difficult for them to grant scholarships to the beneficiaries.

The corporation is being run only by six members by reducing personal expenditure and only two per cent of the budget amount is being spent for the office management. Commissioner of Police T Yoganand, who was also present at the meeting, took the blessings of the seer. Honorary president of Vizag Brahmin Welfare Society T S R Prasad presided over the function in which Chilakapati Vijaya Raghavacharyulu, Kandala Srinivasa Rao, Kavuri Charan, Sankar Neelu and students were present.
