Piyush pats government for planning to build world-class capital

Addressing the media in Tirupati on Friday, Goyal said that the Central government is extending all sorts of help to develop smart cities under which Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Kakinada were selected in Andhra Pradesh.Already, 110 cities/towns in AP were declared open defecation free places. Till now, 4.7 lakh consumers have given up their LPG subsidy under ‘Give it up’ scheme.
The Centre has established 9 soil testing laboratories in the State for the benefit of farmers. He said the NDA government is committed to the goal that the nation’s resources reach the poorest of the country. He said by August 15, 2022, when the country completes 75 years of Independence, every citizen should have a home, a toilet and electricity among other things. Through UDAY (Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana) scheme, DISCOMS in AP can save Rs 6,000 crore every year.
The figures of digital payments have doubled since demonetisation, the Union Minister pointed out. He said India was making rapid strides under the leadership of Narendra Modi who has emerged as a world leader. He said every country in the world is looking at India and Modi. The NDA government has been implementing various welfare schemes for different sections.
The BJP-led NDA government is for the people of the nation, the poor of India, farmers, women and youth, socially and economically deprived classes.He lauded the TDP government in the State and said that both the State and the Central governments were working together for the welfare of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
He said the NDA government has been making efforts to ensure that every section of the society derives benefit from government schemes. Modi government has taken banking to every family in the country and 28 crore accounts were opened under Jan Dhan Yojana, he pointed out. BJP district President B Chandra Reddy, State Vice president Uma, other leaders, K Santha Reddy, G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Jalli Madhusudan and others were present.
