Anantapur: A round table conference of opposition parties held on Sunday at the local press club warned of an all- party agitation against the government if the government which promised to pay input subsidy and insurance separately failed to keep its word.

The government promised to credit the amount into the bank accounts of the farmers directly by June 24. Addressing a press conference, the CPM leader Rambhoopal who initiated the all party meeting said that the government promised to credit the amounts into farmers’ accounts by June 24.

If they went back on their word, all parties including CPI, CPM and the YSRCP parties would launch an agitation on June 27, he warned. Dr Geyanand, ex-MLC and Manava Hakkula Vedika leader was also present.Meanwhile Woman Welfare and ICDS minister Paritala Sunitha stated that 6.25 lakh farmers would get input subsidy. The farmers will get a total of Rs.1451 crores including insurance amount. She said that the chief minister's announcement proved that he is a man who keeps his word.
