They took the opportunity of Ramzan to attract the attention of the Muslim voters. Crucial leaders of the TDP and YSRCP reached Nandyal turning where Muslims congregate to greet them on the occasion of Ramzan.

Earlier, MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy reached the place and greeted the Muslims for Ramzan and embraced them. Afterwards TDP MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy reached the place and greeted the Muslims, who were his camp followers. Several have raised eyebrows over the two leaders greeting the party workers and leaders who were their own camp followers.

YSRCP assembly constituency in-charge Budda Sesha Reddy tried to attract Muslims to the party in his characteristic style. BJP state mahila leader Momeen Shabana greeted the TDP and YSRCP leaders. She said that the people are confused because of the TDP.

Interacting with Silpa Chakrapani Reddy, she enquired whether he would be quitting the party in the light of the political scenario prevailing in Nandyal. A TDP leader sitting in a car made some gestures to YSRCP leader perhaps speaking in a coded language that is understood by the two. The incident became a hot topic and soon the people went agog discussing about it.

Yemmiganur (Kurnool): On the occasion of Ramzan, leaders of various political parties offered prayers at an Eidgah here on Monday. The leaders include TDP MLA B Jaya Nageswara Reddy, Manthralayam TDP in-charge Thikka Reddy, Yemmiganur YSRCP in-charge Yerrakota Jaganmohan Reddy and Congress in-charge Lakshminaryana Reddy. The leaders greeted Muslims. They wished farmers and people to lead a happy life with agricultural prosperity following bountiful rains.
