Amaravati: Minister for health and medical education said that fees would be returned to students enrolled in Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences (FIMS), Kadapa as Medical Council of India (MCI) denied permission to run some courses in the college. In a review meeting at Secretariat on Wednesday, the health minister said that government made all efforts but the MCI did not allow the college to run some courses.

“As it is not possible to give admissions to students as per court directions, the government will direct the college to return fees to the students” he added. It should be recalled that students enrolled in the college stage a protest at Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada on Wednesday.
