Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy, temple Executive Officer Bharat Narayana Gupta and RDO Hussain Saheb handed over the house site documents to the beneficiaries. The Housing Department would construct houses at the house sites each at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh.

The EO said that plans were prepared to develop infrastructure and to construct houses in six months. The MLA said that it was painful to displace the small traders, who have been living here for the last thirty years. “It’s inevitable for the development,” the MLA added. The MLA said that a bridge would be constructed between Sundipenta and Srisailam and free bus service would be provided to the colony people.

He said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keen to develop Srisailam as a tourist spot and spiritual centre. Housing EE Chandrasekhar Reddy, Temple EE Srinivasa Rao, MRO K V Srinivasulu, local leaders Rafi, Janke Subba Reddy and others were present.
