Raghuveera Reddy said Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has been camping in Nandyal for three months and the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has toured the constituency thrice. He said the entire administration and ministers are striving to win the Nandyal by polls and have been neglecting the State.
The PCC Chief alleged it was gross misuse of power and demanded that the Election Commission should scrap the elections. Raghuveera Reddy alleged that both TDP and YSRCP have cheated the people on Special Category Status. He reminded that the YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had announced that he would make all the party MLAs resign if the Central Government did not accord Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and later retracted his statement.
Referring to Congress party’s stand and agenda in the by-elections, he said the Congress was marching ahead with agenda of secularism and to fight for the rights of Telugu people living in AP. The PCC Chief predicted that the voters will give a shocking result to TDP and YSRCP by defeating their candidates and would elect a Congress candidate.
