Vizianagaram: Priests, officers of endowment department cut the tree from which ‘Sirimanu’ would be carved for Goddess Pydithalli festival. Temple staff and devotees went to Denkada mandal and performed pujas and other rituals before cutting the tree. It may be noted that ‘Sirimanu’ will play a key role in Pydithallamma Jathara which is slated for October 3.
