Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash gave a call to youth to take active role in the development of the truncated state. She participated as a chief guest for the divisional-level youth festival conducted at P V K N Degree College here on Monday.

The youth festival was organised by District Youth Services department. Addressing the gathering, the ZP chief said that State has tremendous potential to provide better future for the youth. She further stated that more job opportunities for district youth in the industrial sector due to initiative of District Collector P S Pradyumna.

Girvani said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister N Lokesh are committed to introduce various welfare schemes for the youth. She made an appeal to youth to make use of welfare schemes and take part in the progress of the state. She advised parents and teachers to train their children with good habits so that they can have bright career. She lamented that the educational institutions have become factories to churn out students with degrees and ranks. But, not focusing on teaching moral values to students, she added.
The youth should have clear vision to build their career, she said and advised them not to get into politics during student days. Girvani said several private companies are offering suitable placements for the meritorious candidates in IT sector. Chittoor MP Dr N Sivaprasad has explained the welfare schemes of the Telugu Desam government.
Chittoor MLA D A Satyaprabha stressed that youth should not get addicted to bad habits. “The state government is exploring ways to provide self-employment opportunities to the youth,” she added. Chittoor Mayor K Hemalatha, MLC B N Rajasimhulu, P V K N Government Degree College principal Ananda Reddy, Youth Services CEO Jyothi and others were present .
