Kurnool: Infusing confidence to its customers the Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank (APGB) Chairman A Venkat Reddy on Thursday has said that there is no need to worry about their deposits in the bank.

He thrashed the rumours about FRDI Bill and said the account holders would reap more benefits besides security with the bill. He said that the APGB is extending its services for 60 lakh account holders in five districts with a turnover of Rs 23,718 crore.

Venkat Reddy further stated that the Grameena banks are also government banks and the funds would be allocated by the Central government, State government and the Syndicate Bank. No private person is having any share except the government, he added.

He further said that the APGB has been sanctioning loans to account holders of Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore and Prakasam districts. He urged the account holders not to believe in the rumours being flashed in news channels and other media and assured that their deposits in APGB are safe.
