Additional Commissioner trapped while accepting Rs 23.2 lakh bribe
The sleuths of Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday arrested an Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes for accepting a bribe of Rs 23.2 lakh from a multi-national company.
Vijayawada: The sleuths of Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday arrested an Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes for accepting a bribe of Rs 23.2 lakh from a multi-national company.
The ACB officials were alerted when Additional Commissioner in the Enforcement Wing identified as U Yedukondalu was receiving a huge-amount from representatives of multinational company called ITD Cementation India. According to the officials, it is the single largest amount seized in a trap case.
Yedukondau office was raided on Saturday evening and Rs 23.2 lakh were recovered. ITD Cementation is a Mumbai-based company which takes up major development projects across the country. A case has been registered against Yedukondau and investigation is on.
