An Intermediate second year BiPC student was found dead at her hostel room at Sri Chaitanya college-cum-hostel at Eedupugallu village under Kankipadu police station limits on Saturday. According to Kankipadu police, Ragiri Chandra Nagamani (17), was found hanging in a room of the hostel. Other students noticed the girl and informed the college management.
Vijayawada: An Intermediate second year BiPC student was found dead at her hostel room at Sri Chaitanya college-cum-hostel at Eedupugallu village under Kankipadu police station limits on Saturday. According to Kankipadu police, Ragiri Chandra Nagamani (17), was found hanging in a room of the hostel. Other students noticed the girl and informed the college management.
The student was immediately shifted to a local hospital. But, the doctors declared that she was brought dead. Circle Inspector K Sivaji and Sub Inspector Haneesh went to the hostel and began investigation. The police booked a case under the Section 174 (unnatural death). She was taking long=term coaching for the NEET examination.
The student in a suicide note mentioned that she was committing suicide due to personal reasons. The girl student was a native of Nallamada village in Anantapur district. The matter was informed to her father Ragiri Ramanappa. The body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. The exact cause of the death will be informed after getting the post-mortem report, said the police.
District Collector B Lakshmikantham ordered an inquiry into the death of the student in her hostel room in Eedupugallu. Joint Collector Vijaykrishnan will conduct the inquiry, he added.
