Vijayawada: CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna asked the leaders of BJP to reveal the total allocations to the development of Rayalaseema and other backward districts in the state. Releasing the poster of Atma Gourava Porata Sabha here on Friday, Ramakrishna has said the Centre released only Rs 50 crore instead of announcing Bundelkhand model package for backward districts.

The leaders of the BJP were making plans to divert the people in the name of Rayalaseema districts declaration. He wondered as to how the people would believe their plans when the Centre was cheating the state.

The AP Pratyeka Sadhana Samiti demanded the ministers of BJP to resign their posts instead of criticising the other parties. Samiti president Chalasani Srinivas asked the ministers to quit from the State Cabinet to mount pressure on their party leadership for protecting the interests of the State. He took strong objection to the comments of the BJP ministers at the recent party meeting.

The ministers should resign first to their posts when they really feel that the posts are not important, he said. The CPI leader urged the people to participate in Atma Gourava Sabha which would be held in Rajamahendravaram on March 20. He also demanded the Centre to release a white paper on the allocations to the State. The agitations would be intensified for special category status on March 6.
