Collector seeks feedback about food in Anna Canteen

Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian visited the Bellary bypass road where the ‘Anna Canteen’ is operating. The Collector and Municipal Commissioner Murthy jointly visited the canteen and even had lunch with the beneficiaries.
They appreciated the quality of food being served to the people of all shades belonging to the weaker sections. The Collector interacted with the lunch consumers and enquired about their professions. He even spoke to a youth taking lunch. The youth told the Collector that he hailed from a nearby village and was preparing for group exams.
He said that he found the Anna Canteen to be very beneficial as scores who come to the town from villages cannot afford to eat lunch at the city restaurants. The Anna Canteen supplying food for just Rs 15 is a boon to the common man and floating population, who come to the city from their mandals on different errands.
