Tirupati: As the time to resolve all the problems of people in Legislative Assembly or Council is too short, various legislative committees have been formed to look after various grievances at field level, said Reddy Subrahmanyam, the Chairman of AP Legislative Committee on Petitions.

He reviewed the status of various petitions with district officials at Sri Padmavathi Guest House here on Monday. Regarding the ‘Sannidhi Golla’ issue pertaining to TTD, JEO Pola Bhaskar said the issue can be resolved if the government amend the orders of 34/3 issued in 2007 and TTD has already sent the proposal towards this.

Soon, the Trust Board will discuss it and send the proposal again to the government, he stated. District Collector PS Pradyumna has said that efforts were on to resolve Settipalli land issue as per the directions given by the Chief Minister. TUDA is taking steps to establish an economic zone with Rs 150 crore financial assistance from any bank, the Collector informed.

The land issue at Gollapalle in Srikalahasti mandal also came up for review and Committee Chairman told the Collector to make a field visit in 15 days and submit a report and a final decision will be taken after holding a meet at capital if needed. Committee members Bachula Arjunudu, Gangula Prabhakar Reddy, MV Satyanarayana, Tirupati RDO G Narasimhulu, TTD Deputy EO Gowthami, DFOs Chakrapani and Jagannatham and others participated. MLC Y Srinivsaulu Reddy has submitted a representation to the Committee Chairman.
