YSRCP leaders visit rain-hit areas in Vijayawada
Former MLA and YSRCP city working president Malladi Vishnu along with party leaders visited Kaleswararao road, Vishnuvardhan Rao road, Govindarajula Naidu road, Congress office road, Veemurivari road and others places in 19th and 21st divisions on Monday
Vijayawada: Former MLA and YSRCP city working president Malladi Vishnu along with party leaders visited Kaleswararao road, Vishnuvardhan Rao road, Govindarajula Naidu road, Congress office road, Veemurivari road and others places in 19th and 21st divisions on Monday.
Residents of those areas met Vishnu and complained about their pathetic problems during rains. The residents said that when it rains, the roads will resemble a big drain water canals. The residents told that that drain water was mixing with drinking water.
Vishnu informed that in the two divisions, there were about 7,000 assessments and the VMC was collecting about Rs 25 crore through taxes from both residential and commercial properties. He alleged that the corporation had failed to provide basic infrastructural facilities to the residents leaving them to their fate.
He demanded that the Commissioner immediately act on the issues and provide basic amenities and infrastructural facility to the denizens.
