Amaravati: Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said that the monsoon session of Assembly will commence from September 6. Speaking to media after flagging off 10 lorries laden with groceries and food items worth of Rs 1.5 crore for flood victims of Kerala along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat on Friday, he said the session will be organised for 10-12 working days.

Appealing to all MLAs to attend for the session, the Speaker said Assembly is a platform to discuss, debate and give valuable suggestions to government on public issues. Reacting on the boycott decision of YSRCP from the last one year, Sivaprasada Rao said that he was requesting them to attend the House. The Speaker observed that Kerala did not face such a huge calamity in the entire history and now it needed the help.
