Kadapa: September 5 Noted Ophthalmologist and former MLA of Pulivendula constituency Dr YS Purushothama Reddy (88) passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Pulivendula town on Wednesday. He was survived with four sons.
Dr Purushothama Reddy who was brother of late Raja Reddy (father of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy) was born in Balapanuru village of Pulivendula mandal in 19-12-1929. He was completed MS in Ophthalmology Andhra University Medical College as he started his career as a ophthalmologist in Cambel hospital in Jammalamadugu. Later worked as medical superintendent at YS Raja Reddy hospital in Pulivendula town.
Dr YS Purushothama Reddy who got elected as MLA in by election from Pulivendula constituency in 1991 responsible of facilitating was for 177 villages by constructing Chitravathi Balancing Reservoir. Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy wife YS Vijayamma , YS Vivekananda Reddy and several people visited his dead body condoled his family members. Meanwhile YSR congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy likely to attend his last rights proposed to held tomorrow.
