Women perform mass Varalakshmi Vratam at Dwaraka Tirumala temple

Dwaraka Tirumala: Saamoohika Varalakshmi Vratam was performed at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple to mark Sravana Sukravaram here on Friday.

Scores of women devotees thronged the temple since early in the morning to perform vratam.

It is a tradition for thousands of believers who turn up at this famous shrine in the district to seek blessings of the lord to fulfil their wishes.

As soon as priests began vratam, the women devotees performed Kalisa Puja and Kunkumarchana.

Temple EO Peddiraju monitored the arrangements made for the devotees.
