Vijayawada: Four Junior Intermediate students of a private corporate left the college on Saturday without informing either college authorities or parents. Later, parents lodged a complaint with Patamata police about the missing students. But the students informed the parents that they are safe and will reach home on Monday. They are reluctant to go to the college and stay in the hostel.
Patamata sub-inspector G Sudhakar said four Intermediate students staying in a corporate college hostel in Nidamanuru went missing from Saturday afternoon. The management immediately informed the parents about it. Two students hail from Eluru, one each from Nellore and Anantapur.
The incident became viral in social media on Sunday as names and photos of students sent to WhatsApp groups. The students missing case ended on a happy note as the parents received information that their children were in Ongole and will reach home on Monday.
