Protests, rallies mark Bharat Bandh in East Godavari

Kakinada: Protests, rallies and dharnas marked as part of Bharat Bandh organised against the hike in fuel prices in the district headquarters Kakinada.

Apart from the Congress and Left parties, Jana Sena and TDP also participated in the protest in different ways.While the Congress organised a dharna at the collectorate, the Left parties and Jana Sena participated in a protest rally and the TDP leaders and activists organised a two-wheelar rally.

Police booked five cases across the district for obstructing the movement of APSRTC buses at various places and in total, 100 activists were taken into preventive custody.
