Ongole: The Central government is striving to bring down the petrol price to Rs 50 soon, announced BJP Mahila Morcha National In-Charge Daggubati Purandeswari. She was the chief guest at the booth level cadre and office bearers meeting held here on Sunday.

Purandeswari pointed out that all the parties are joining hands to defeat the BJP in the ensuing elections though their ideologies are different. She announced that the BJP has 40 lakh workers in the state and the party will strive to win here with the coordination of the new and old members.

She said that they are demanding that the government include Prakasam district in the backward districts list, along with Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra.

She announced that the Union government has fixed price for Ethanol and is popularising its usage as fuel. She said that the government is trying to reduce the petrol price to Rs 50 soon.

She clarified that there is no motive behind the non-bailable warrant issued against N Chandrababu Naidu and said that the case was registered during the Congress regime. She said that the BJP does not resort to vengeance and will go to election with development slogan.
